Habitat protection and animal welfare

Participate in animal health projects while participating in clinics to spay, neuter and de-worm local homeless cats and dogs. Join us in the next Spay and Neuter campaigns in in Minca and Taganga! November and December 2012!

Why does this project need volunteers?

Because hands-on are needed to control cats and dog populations; in this we will be able to work by increasing animal welfare, promote human health and wildlife preservation strategies by preventing disease and controlling populations of invasive species as pets for the Tayrona National Park and Sierra Nevada’s national park influence area.

  • Planning and developing health, spay and neuter clinics.
  • Design and implement an animal medical control program.
  • Develop an Animal Health and Welfare education campaign with children and adults within the community to promote proper animal care and well being.
  • Perform a stray animal census.
  • Search for funds and help find interns to give continuity to develop this program.
